Long time no hear from my end ha everybody? All is well here for the most part. Just sitting here with the headphones listening to music which has been the norm most days instead of watching the same ole sad news all the time. Death and destruction and people suffering to the likes I've never seen. Political agenda's no matter what the cause are today's norm and I must say some are so far off the wall it's sad. 48 years young and I've seen so much and yet so little if that makes sense. Would like to travel more but not complaining. I have my health, a great son and my family. To expect more and not appreciate what I have would be greedy.
I am grateful for everything I've learned and will learn in the coming days, weeks, months and God willing years.
I felt compelled to write and update my life as it is today not for what it will be in the years to come. I've never been one to plan ahead and just enjoy each day. I love people and like listening to older ones to hear the stories they tell. So much can be learned to listen to each other and just maybe lend a hand. It's all about Me, Myself, I anymore and I can honestly say although I'm not perfect I came from a different generation who believes in helping with no strings attached. Oh what a world we live in ha?

It's been awhile!!
This past 4 years has been 1 of the most Roller coaster kind of rides anyone could ever take. With next month being the 1 year anniversary of my Mom's passing so much has happened. Difficult decisions have had to be made on just about every front. My wife's step Dad would also lose his fight earlier this year to cancer further cementing we are God's children and when it's time to go he'll let us know. Each and every day is a struggle as most of you know but when a loved one is taken it can bring you to your knees and make ya ask why? Been there done that. It's a helpless feeling and what doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger so they say. My eyes have been fully opened by these tragedies and has made me stronger and wiser. My Mom was my Rock if you will and has left a big hole in my heart that will never close but hopefully heal somewhat over time. You never seem to fully grasp life's delicate nature of life and death until that time. I will forever miss her but knowing we'll all be together again is a great feeling. Cherish who's special in your life now because you never know when it'll be the last time you'll ever see 'em.

The year it was not 2012
Wow where do I start? 2012 is not behind us and for that I say good ridden. The ole saying of it's not how you start but how you finish isn't always true. 2012 saw the transformation of cars breaking down costing us no less that $100 a pop and that was just the beginning, We also went though like 3 cars for my job which helped to turn things upside down, It seemed anything that could go wrong did. Our finances are still as of this writing are not out of the woods. The idea of living paycheck to paycheck is an unflattering idea at that. My job of being an Independent Contractor for the News-Gazette has held up well and going into my 3rd year I can see why. No one wants to work. I keep hearing how many jobless people there are and yet from my experience people just want to do this kind of work. All was not lost though as my wife became a District Manager for the paper and yep you guessed it, still my boss. We both like what we do and the stress level is a lot better than working in the factory for all those years. 22 for me and I'm not quite sure how many for her. We've been burned by what we thought were friends only to find out using people is a way of life for this couple. What a shame. We've moved yet again for now 4 times in 4 years. That gets old and harder as you get older. We like where were at now with good neighbors that we have no problems calling friends. We don't think we'll be staying here much longer than another year to 16 months. The chance for us to move to Arkansas has arisen. Still some hard decisions will have to be made and bills paid. So far so good getting the bills paid down. Another reason for wanting to stay around for at least another year is to see my son graduate from H.S. He hasn't decided where he wants to go to College yet but he wants to study Business Mgmt. I'm in my 5th year Umpiring through I.H.S.A. and that has not only been a nice bit of change but is rewarding and something I love doing. Last but not least I'm in my 6 total year of Coaching basketball 3 @ Thomasboro. After some herniated Disc issues I was given the Head Coaching job there after a long time Head Coach Earl Hess stepped down. Long story short he's now my Asst, Save that story for a rainy day. My wife and I are going on our 4th year of marriage this year and although troubling from a financial standpoint we are really doing well and continuing to learn, live,be happy even when things don't look so rosy. As most of you know by now my Mom although she had cancer throughout lost her battle on Oct.30th,2012. My wife and I are truly blessed we were able to see her 2 weeks before she passed. She seemed fine but in the end it all unraveled in what many would say was sudden. I really liked to see friends and family that showed in her honor as she was a great lady and I owe so much to her. I miss the good ole days with cookouts and Holiday get together's but times are a changing and were all getting older. As it is still a very new year 1-1-13 I hope and pray for World peace and am grateful the Mayan's were wrong. I hope that I can at least recover the relationship for which I've lost with my son and he can 1 day forgive me. Hoping as our Great Nation can get back to being proud and not being so divided. Last but not least I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year and never take anything for granted. I never will again.
